I would like to search the code of all programs in the system. Is there any transaction code that I can use for that?

You can use report RPR_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN. If this report is not available try report RSRSCAN1.

This is what I use to search programs. Usually with the Z* addition to get custom programs only

RSRSCAN1 will crash. You may create your own ABAP : get programs from TRDIR, read report and loop at abap code table searching for specified string.

You can try also transaction CODE_SCANNER in case the reports are not available.

Report AFX_CODE_SCANNER. This search requires at least one package name
